Colour Bar

Sold Out

The Colour Bars grew out of an experimental model for art and life developed collaboratively in Vancouver, Canada, in the late 1960s and 70s. The objects functioned as a frame of reference, props for documenting an environment.

The physics of light and the perception of color have long engaged both artists and scientists alike, making the rainbow a timeless point of departure. Fifty years later, the Colour Bars remain a useful reference, the building blocks of an Endless Painting still in the process of formation.
